Call for Proposals: OSINT Webinar Week 2025

We are excited to announce the Call for Proposals (CFP) for OSINT Webinar Week, which will take place February 17–21, 2025. This week-long event will feature cutting-edge webinars exploring the latest trends, techniques, and tools in Open Source Intelligence (OSINT).

We are seeking dynamic speakers to deliver 1-hour webinars (45 minutes of content + 15 minutes for Q&A) that emphasize useful skills and live demonstrations of applied OSINT. Limited use of slide decks or pre-recorded video may be permissible. Selected presenters will receive a fixed honorarium of $300 per webinar.

To Apply:

Please submit your proposal via email either as body text or an attached Word document to info@plessas.net with the subject line: CFP: OSINT Webinar Week 2025. Applicants will receive an acknowledgment email within 24 hours of submission.

Your submission should include the following:

  • Webinar Title: A compelling and descriptive title.

  • Abstract: A brief summary (150–200 words) of your proposed webinar. Please include relevant details, such as if your proposal is geared toward a specific audience (e.g., experience level, work role, location, etc.).

  • Contact Information: Your name, email, and phone number.

  • Social Media: Links to your professional social media profiles (e.g., LinkedIn, Twitter).

  • Content Examples: Samples of your work, such as articles, blog posts, videos, or other relevant materials.

Topics of Interest

We welcome proposals on a wide range of OSINT topics, including but not limited to:

  • OSINT for Investigations

  • Emerging OSINT Tools & Techniques

  • Social Media Intelligence (SOCMINT)

  • Geospatial OSINT (GEOINT)

  • OSINT for Cybersecurity

  • Case Studies & Real-World Applications

  • Ethics and Legal Considerations in OSINT

Innovative and unique topics are encouraged, focusing on practical applications and skill-building.

Additional Notes

  • Audience: OSINT Webinar Week attracts a diverse audience, including investigators, researchers, analysts, cybersecurity professionals, and those in related fields. Attendees range from beginners to advanced practitioners.

  • Technical Requirements: Webinars will be broadcast using the Zoom Webinar platform. Presenters should have access to a reliable internet connection, a clear microphone, and a quiet space.

  • Practice Sessions: Presenters unfamiliar with Zoom Webinar will be offered a practice session. Additionally, a 15-minute final technology check will be conducted immediately before the live broadcast.

  • Collaborative Presentations: Panel or collaborative webinars are permitted, with the honorarium split among co-presenters.

  • Recording & Rights: By submitting a proposal, you agree to sell the commercial use rights of the recording. However, presenters may request a copy for personal use or their portfolio.

  • Inclusivity: We strongly encourage submissions from underrepresented groups within the OSINT community to foster inclusivity and diversity.

Support for Selected Presenters

Selected speakers will receive an official confirmation email by January 24, 2025, which will include:

  • A speaker agreement to be signed and returned by February 4, 2025.

  • Detailed guidelines and logistical information for delivering your webinar.

  • Support for managing questions during the live Q&A portion.

  • Promotion of your professional profile via LinkedIn and other social media channels.
